Apple gave us the password for the Apple id are we allowed to reset it and change it?

Here is the steps:

Step 1: Go to appleid.apple.com.
Step 2: Click "Manage your Apple ID" and sign in.
Step 3: After signing in sucessfully, Click "Password and Security". You might be asked to answer your security questions.
Step 4: In the "Choose a new password" section, click "Change Password".
