Can I use simple copper wire in place of magnet wire used for coiling of transformer?

I am making transformer. I have watched videos on that. they were using magnet wire but i dont have that so can i use simple copper wire instead of magnet wire?

Magnet wire has lacquer insulation so it takes up very little space and the turns can touch without shorting. "Simple" doesn't mean anything, so I don't know what you are doing.
