Can I use the graphics card I put in my old computer in my new computer?

I have a new computer with Windows 7. It has a quad processor. The graphics card slot is empty. My old computer that runs on vista has a good graphics card in its slot. Could I take the graphics card from my old computer and put it in my new computer?
