If you cut the tip of a cactus plant and replant it, will it grow?

I have a small long cacti that keeps growing out and hangs over the pot. If i were to cut the top off it and put it the soil and water it, would it grow? thanks

Cacti are succulents and most succulents can be grown by cutting a leaf or part of a leaf an replanting.
