I recently acquired an early Vietnam era field jacket, along with obsolete specialist 7 shoulder patches. I was wondering if it would be offensive if I were to sew the patches on the jacket and wear it in public. I have a deep respect for all who have and are serving in the armed forces, and I do not wish to offend anyone.
Thank you and God bless our troops.
Is it offensive for a civilian to wear obsolete military patches on an obsolete military jacket?
