Gabriele Fallopio(gäbrēĕl´lō, gäbrēā´lā fäl-lō´pyō), 152362, Italian anatomist; pupil and successor of Andreas Vesalius and teacher of Hieronymous Fabricius at Padua. His important discoveries include the fallopian tubes, leading from uterus to ovaries. His collected works were published at Venice in 1584.
