1 Son of Ahab, king of Israel (c.852841 B.C.), brother and successor of
Ahaziah 1. He enlisted the support of Jehoshaphat of Judah to put down a revolt in Moab. Jehoram was wounded in an attack on Ramoth-gilead and retired to Jezreel.
Jehu, whom Elisha had earlier anointed king of Israel, assassinated Jehoram and usurped the throne, ending the house of Ahab in Israel.
