Lecuona, Ernesto

(ārnās´tō lākwō´nä), 1896–1963, Cuban composer and pianist, grad. National Conservatory of Music of Havana, 1913. He appeared as a pianist in Spain, France, and the United States. Lecuona is known for his Rapsodia negra (1943) as well as for his popular songs Malagueña and Siboney.
