To start this off, I am a male teenager, 17. Four days ago, I pierced both my ear lobes.. I read the McDonalds policy before doing so and it allowed for men and women to have their ears pierced. The following day I went to work and everyone was okay with it. Then, today I went back in and the head manager was there and she asked me to take my piercings out. Which, I thought was ridiculous since woman are allowed to have them. I asked her why and she just said that it was the owners rules and it doesn't matter if it's stated in the policy book. What, I'm totally baffled about is why women are allowed to have multiple piercings but men aren't allowed a single one. It's that kind of sexist or anything I can do about it? Anyways, I excused myself and left the job.
