... took charge of claiming me as dependant?
So i called and made an appointment in early December 2014, then when my appointment is due jan 23 , i get the phone call. I tell the guy everything and he said i may be eligible for ssi benefits as and we should act on this immediately. So then he says he'll have another person call me within the hour saying what to do next. Finally that people calls and goes over what ive discussed with the previous person and says come in the the nearest SSO asap so they can get a copy of my birth certificate, so i go in an they get a copy of my birth certificate and then says theyll keep me updated and that was all i needed to do.,?The situation for me is im 17, and i turn 18 june 30 2015.
Will i still be eligible for claiming as my mothers dependant? And how long will it take untill i see my first check? And also will i gget back pay for the 2 years my mothers has been on it ? Will i recieve it before i turn 18? Of course this Is all if i get approved. Immediate answers please

i know now they only go back a certain amount of time did they say what the basics were for you to get ssi i think you being 18 isn't gonna matter much cause your claiming from the time you started your claim i don't think their gonna go back two years they will start when you had your appointment i think you are more or less your own dependent till you let them know that you are not living with her or if you are you need to ask her if she is claiming you know cause if she isn't you might be able to be responsible for your own check meaning you might be eligible to be your own person and you can't be claimed by your own mom i'm sure they have it all worked out how its suppose to happen i have no idea if you will get back pay for those two years i would call and ask that specific question i think it takes about 90 days to see any money you should be able to be approved they sometimes take 120 days but not to often have you got any medical issues?
Long story short. I told him all my medical issues along with the doctors and hospitals etc.
The guy said i should be accepted and then he said he wants me to be by my phone because another rep will be calling for more info saying we need to act asap. The new rep said to c I'll me into the nearest sso so they can get a copy of my birth certificate. I go in an they copy and say thats all they need. Thats the last i heard.
