Basically I'm in canada driving tanks for the army, my my friend is in the same vehicle as me, but his ex girlfriend, who I have known for years has just turned up to work with us, we we have got close and I like her but what do I do?

if things with them ended on bad terms or he still has feelings for her it's a definite no, and also if they have split up within the last 6 months then you probably shouldn't go there yet. But if they are still friends and it isn't a fresh break-up, i don't see why not. Do not do anything behind his back, and talk to him about it before, because as your friend he obviously deserves the mutual respect and you being honest with him.
Thanks for the advice, and unfortunately they ended on bad terms and he still has feelings for her... But he is in a new steady relationship now. He sees us talking a lot together and hasn't mentioned it. I will have to speak to him about it lol
