I had my little boy about three months ago and I still have a small slit underneath a muscle at the entrance of my vagina that makes the opening look longer. Because it is underneathe a muscle it does not affect sex, except for I rip a little on occasion. When I went to the gynecologist about it she said i could either have surgery on it right then to fix it or to wait a month to see if it heals on its own. The reason I'm choosing to wait a month is because they said to fix it I may have to have another entire episiotomy. Aside from my little problem I'm very pleased with how the inside of my vagina healed, so I didn't want to screw that up. So I have another appointment on october 27th. My question is, if it hasn't healed, should I have the surgery or just try to live with it? I really hate the tear but they said there's no gaurentee that it couldn't heal worse if I do have the surgery. My worst fear is to ruin sex for me or my fiance so I don't want to risk being loose or hurting my nerves. What would you do if you were in my situation? Should I have the surgery??
