Since Feb there is something in my hair, I used 2 lice treatments and everything else possible to kill whatever it is. I've washed my hair up to 5 times a day. It is so bothersome and irritating I had to. After July I thought they were gone. But no, they are back. I guess there was an incubation period, and they are back full force. I can feel things jump onto my face and the itching is driving me crazy. Dermatologist said my scalp was irritated but says he didn't see anything. He only looked for 3 or 4 seconds and he didn't touch me. He didn't want me there. I have saturated my hair with olive oil and wrapped my head, for several nights in a row. Tried to comb them out. I'm still trying and I'm getting nowhere. When I brush, I see little black specks in the sink or shower. I don't know what this is. I have gotten some lice out but these aren't lice, I don't think. Has anyone else had this problem? I am 65 yrs old and never in my whole life, have I had lice or anything like this. But I'm about to lose my mind. It's horrible! I have ruined my hair, dried it up really bad and I'm losing hair quickly.
