Each graft develops a tiny crust within 24 hours, which is discarded after 2-3 weeks. The transplanted hair often begins to grow in about 2-4 months following the treatment, and complete results are typically seen around a year afterwards.
A small percentage of individuals may develop temporary, modest forehead swelling after surgery; this swelling subsides in 3–4 days.
