When trying to copy audio files to cd drive, why does the status read as will not fit?

i have around 115 song titles to be copied from my pc to the cd-r compact disk via windows media player medium. but when trying to do so, i found almost 80% of the songs list read in the status column as WILL NOT FIT.
why this happening and how to resolve it? thank you.
