i try not to let it bother me but right now when i see his face i just want to punch him. they keep making stupid movies about him and i can't get away from his posters.
i'm not jealous i just don't like him.

You must not have enough to do. Try something that's mentally intensive, something like a hobby. Maybe you want to collect cards, build model trains, or even program. I like to program because it gets my mind off of things. It takes lots of skill and concentration to program, so I can't really think of other things while I program. Also, error catching and the logic behind certain things on a computer is tough to figure out.
If I were you, I'd get an Arduino or Raspberry Pi off the internet, get some sensors, some motors, some speakers, some LEDs and I'd try to think of some cool things to do. You could do a proximity sensor for blind people. Then you could pretend to go blind for a day and try to navigate your house with it.
I've heard stories of an age where the ps3 could have linux installed. My favorite distro for that would be arch linux, since it's such a versatile OS. You'd have to hack the PS3, of course, and that takes time and dedication too. Of course, a better way to get into linux is through a laptop or netbook that seems broken. Get a simple distro like Ubuntu or Linux Mint, and download Python or Arduino software to start learning. I recommend starting with Arduino because you can mess with hardware and make cool accessories to tote around with you. Of coruse, Python is a scripting language, so once you download it, you can start playing around with it.
there are videos on youtube that show you how to install linux on the PS3 but i don't have the keyboard or the mouse to do it. i would also need to backup all my data and it takes about four hours to finish the installation.
i also can't download youtube videos. i keep getting (connect to storage media) problems. do you know a way around that?
Unfortunately, no. I wanted to get a PS3 years back, but I never got around to getting one. So I'm sorry to have no advice for the youtube problem. As for the keyboard/ mouse issue, there are several cheap combos at newegg and your local electronics dealer, most likely. I got my keyboard for $10, and even though it's kinda crappy, it holds up. I don't know if PS3 uses USB keyboard/mouse, though. Again, sorry about the lack of advice I can provide at this point.
the only thing i don't get is that his story of becoming a musician is typical. most people who have that talent start playing music at a young age. one of my cousins pretty much taught himself he started playing at beaches and now he's playing at clubs and bars.

i would love to learn computer programming but i can't afford a real PC i just have a PS3 with a dumb web browser. the games and netflix work perfectly but the netscape browser sucks. i do draw and i read but mostly on the internet.
any tips on getting linux or a better browser for my PS3?
