It's all about marketing and advertising.
Their employees are very deticated to Microsoft, just like Apple employees are deticated to Apple.
They advertise, endorse and make other companies speak well of them.

Mircrosoft also offers the best Operating Systems [OS] Windows 7 and Windows 8 and the best office suit programs such as powerpoint, excel, word and their One Drive service which is free, the only thing that rivals MS office suit is Apache Open Office which is completely free. They're Windows tablets and mobile phones are now in fierce competition with Apples Iphones and Ipads. It's not just good marketing, it's also good products.
