I don't mean to sound too personal by asking this question, as I know it is a touchy subject for most. But I always wondered what kind of answers people could give me in regards to their rationalization of personal spirituality. I'd also love to hear a variety of answers, from all sorts of backgrounds, that's always more fun, so don't be shy about sharing your views and why you believe them.

You can't compare religions because if you don't believe something, it doesn't make sense by definition. You can only compare ceremonies.

This is a good question, one that I ask people about often. Not so much in that order but, mainly because The Bible actually instructed those who wanted to follow in Jesus foot steps, as Christians to do so. Matthew 28:19,20 "Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations; teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.
To answer your question I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses, why you ask. Because to please God, a religion must be based on Bible truth.—John 4:23, 24.
John 17:3 say, "We must take in knowledge of God and his son Jesus".
Religions based on human ideas are futile.—Mark 7:7, 8. "It is in vain that they keep worshipping me, for they teach commands of men as doctrines."
There has been and still is so much strife and hatred in the world, no unity very little love, and many fight their wars, all in the name of their gods.
I learned that the Bible teaches just the opposite.
Members of the religion that God approves form a worldwide brotherhood.
1 Peter 2:17 says, "Honor men of all sorts, have love for the whole association of brothers, be in fear of God."
This kind of love plus finding out what the Bible really teaches about, "Who God is, His purpose, and his plans are for the earth and mankind," Intrigued me, so I researched.
The Bible encourages everyone to do so. jw.org is a good place to start. Many are finding answers to questions they thought could never be answered.

What is Jehova's witness-my parents think they're bad
All 501c Religions are corporations chartered under the auspices and control of the British Monarch (Bishop of Canterbury) and the Roman Pontiff (Bishop of Rome). None of them are correct in their beliefs and doctrines.
Protestants are managed through the Church of England and Catholics through The Holy See and Roman Pope. They are all under the watchful eye of the Jesuits. The 'Rock' or first Pope should not have been Peter but James. Mary was not a virgin she was pregnant by Means of the Holy Spirit. The "means" used was to find a man. That man was Joseph's brother who was killed in battle and Mary was taken as Joseph's wife. Joseph was Christ's step Father. Christ was both Son of Man and Son of GOD and the Holy Spirit which is the Holy Mother in the GOD Head...Father, Son and Holy Mother. The Bible is inspired of GOD but most readers do not understand the term GOD or it's two other forms God and god. GOD is the Almighty, Jesus was A God who was the firstborn of GOD and Firstborn of a God Man. gods are demi-gods. There is only one GOD and one GODDESS but many lower Gods and Goddesses. The fallen Angels of old were delinquent Sons of GOD. 'Satan' is a delinquent God who is the present God of this World.
I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I was a Catholic before, but have been searching for true Christianity for a while. I started to do a lot of research on many religions and came up unsatisfactory. So I tried another approach, I started to study those who profess to be true Christians and compare it to what the Bible says a true Christian should do and keep doing. Here are some of the reasons why I became one of Jehovah's Witnesses and been one for over 22 years now:
1) God tells us at John 17:3,"This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ"
According to this scripture to become a true Christian, the first thing necessary is to take in accurate knowledge of God and his Son.
2) We have to put into effect Galatians 5:22,"On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,faith,mildness, self control." A true Christian have to apply these qualities.
3) Make disciples. Matthew 28:19/20,"Go, therefore, and make disciplines of people of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,. So after taking knowledge of God and his Son and applying the fruitage of the spirit we get baptized and then help others the same way we were help to draw close to God.?
4) God's name at Psalms 83:18,"May people know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth."
God wants us to know that he has a name and wants to be identify by it. Its only logical that all of us his creation has a name, so that he being the Grand Creator will have a name also. God is a tittle just as man,woman,miss ,mrs, mr, are all titles. God even tells us he is jealous for his name and worship.
So all the scriptures I used proved what a true Christian must be, that's why I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

How is it logical that we were once apes? How is it logical that the entire universe came into existence in a matter of seconds by accident? Why do we not see any monkeys turning into humans today? Why don't we have wings by now, how come there have been no signs of evolution throughout any recorded history?

I belive in lady luck. She dose not belive in good or evil, black or white she cares not should you be a criminal or a cop a hero or a monster she dose not suport or comdem reckless risks and dose not care whether you live or die whether you worship her or even believe in her. she is a lady a misteries a lover a fraind and a fow how seeks only to be entertained and will influence your odds accordingly whith out garenteing any 1 outcome.
Of cose this means that the nature of our action don't determine wether or not you get in to lady luck's VIP club when we die but the significancs of those action do, this also mean that if you dont get into her VIP club you won't burn in heal fier for an eternily but insterd you will be comdemned to roam the abies between realms intel you either find another haven or prove yourself worthy of lady luck interest.
I like her because she doesn't try to inpose a certain why of life on you or theaten you with an eternaty of suffernig if you don't live be her ruls or even believe in her she watching over every soul regardles of their belifefs, moral compass or social status. and donsint forbid you from beliving in other afterlife if you pleas her in life or the afterlife she will let you but not make you join her.
To her life is just a way for souls to form personality, free will and thier own personal morals so thay can create unprodictable yet captivating scenarios

I am Christian, now that can be a wide variety, there are all sorts of Christians. Nondenominational, catholic, Pentecostal. I don't know that I classify into one of those. I am a Christian who chooses Jesus as a relationship instead of as a religion. I believe that the Holy Spirit is still active and that God is alive.
I didn't mention why I choose this as my religion. But that's the point. People are choosing religions today as if they're just a character or ability you pick for a game. They ask questions like, Is this a strong character, is it helpful to me personally, will they get me made fun of, do they make me stand out? I'm sure you'll here this a thousand times from different people according to their own religion, but God exists. Any Islamic person would say Islamic is the right religion and any HIndu, Hinduism. This is rather overused, and for saying this, I'll be voted down a whole lot, but all that matters to me is that I witness God's word to others.

I was raised thru the assembly of God church. Christian based church. I have went to many different churches. I'm now a member of the new life church. And focus on the family. I've studied allot of different religions. Read from cover to cover of many different versions of the bible. When I say I read them. That first page straight thru to last page in the order it was written. Every single word. I didn't jump around reading part chapters or verses. I'm not sure how many peoples ever read the bible straight thru from beginning to end just like you would read any book. Not just once but many times and ant many translations of the bible. I've even listen to the whole bible on audio cassettes and CD. And on the internet. .

I always believed in the Bible and when Jehovah's Witnesses showed me the answers to my questions using the Bible I knew I had found the truth. I had an open mind, but was sincerely seeking the truth. I simply wanted to know what the Bible really taught since there were so many religions. I highly hope all seek with an honest heart and not hold back because of prejudice. Find out straight from the source what that religion teaches. You can research Jehovah's Witnesses at the official website Jw.org or download the Free purple Jw app. You can compare all different translations and see for yourself if it is true. I simply say "Show me that from the Bible and I will believe" since there is scientific evidence that the Bible is true.
Hey guys, seems like I did get a small variety of answers from about three different groups: Christians, Muslims, and atheist. I myself am currently somewhere residing between Buddhism and Taoist principles. I also used to be a Christian belonging to the Baptist denomination growing up. Didn't really work for me though. But that's just me personally, not trying to stir the pot. Anyway, thanks for the answers!
If somebody asks you - what educational institution you come from, how would you answer? You first went to a kindergarten in some school, then a different high-school and finally, to some other university - so what would you say? So it is with religion - religion is only a kindergarten. We are all born into a religion, most often than not we don't choose our religion. It is very rare for us to choose our religion, because when we are born into a religion, we grow up with it. Religion is good, but religion cannot make us realize God. Therefore, we don't need to change our religion but we must go beyond religion into the university of spirituality. That is my religion, to realize I am the Divine Spirit, the Soul which is beyond all religions of this world.
