Explain how one can start Microsoft word, if there is no icon on the taskbar?

Click on the icon of your document. The computer knows what program to open it with.

If the file is associated with another word processor, right click the icon and select "Open With" and select Word.

If you have not created a document, click Start and type "word" in the search box.
