When I disclosed the abuse to my teacher, she told me to go talk to the Dean of Students, but one of my other teachers said that the teacher I disclosed to was the one who was supposed to make the report, not the Dean of Students or the school counselor. The school counselor made the report even though I first disclosed to my teacher and then the dean. I'm having some trouble with my teacher and I think it might have something to do with this. Maybe one of the deans or the school counselor told her to stay out of it? I was really close to this teacher and it's really awkward now. I just miss how things used to be.

Hm...I know that teachers have to report abuse, but if you had to talk to the student dean, maybe the dean did the reporting instead of the teacher. As long as the report is made, I don't think it matters who makes it. However, if you are still having trouble with this teacher, I would recommend that you try to work things out. What kinds of issues are you running into? If things are just awkward like you say, I would just give it time. Perhaps the teacher felt overwhelmed with your disclosure and wanted to make sure you were getting support from someone else who was more qualified.
Do you mean, another report was made of the domestic abuse, or a separate issue in school?
What kind of trouble? Is she unwilling to talk with you?
She might have been reprimanded for some reason - mayhap failure to report, or familiarity (though shouldn't apply in such cases, there might be regulations against it).
Hopefully it's a temporary setback, but in any case please don't feel discouraged from reaching out to whoever is willing to help.
It depends on whether the teacher thought it was abuse or just bad manners. People don't want to make legal problems just because somebody said or did something clumsy. So they pass it on to someone else, and maybe they get together and talk about it before they decide whether to report it.
