Can I be thrown out of my apartment for no apparent reason?

I have lived here for 4 years, good tenant. No problems, I pay my rent but they gave me a Notice of Termination of Tenancy for no reason, can they do this?

Legally, they have no right. If there's no reason, they can't do that. 

Lawyer up and take them to court.

Every state has different laws and sometimes city laws differ from state laws. Here in Mass., tenancy is governed by a lease, a contract. If you are a tenant at will, the owner doesn't have to give you a cause.  Your lease should have specific information.

The only time landlords have to give you a reason, is if you are on a lease or receiving government assistance and they want you out before the lease expires. Don't waste your money or time paying a lawyer. They DO HAVE TO STATE you have 30 days - an eviction only requires 24 hours. ASK THEM too please tell you why.
