Sorry, the title wasnt really a question but I’m really struggling in school. I always have but I am in high school now and theres no way any college is gonna accept these grades. I have many issues that seen to get worse. But, the thing is i shouldve got tested back in middle school because the papers they sent but my mom didn’t answer or turn it in. She always says the medicine isn’t good for you but, I don’t want medicine and I tell her that. I rather have accomdations then any meds. I am honestly just tired of the constant struggling in my life. According to my old reports in elementary school i always struggle. I took rti classes and had to leave class every day. My 1st grade teacher literally thought I was mute. Im so quiet and lonely but the main thing i need is help. Do you guys have any advice because idk i have a few years of school left
If the medicine isn't working, I suggest you tell your mother strongly and firmly- this means you may have to raise your voice to her. If she really won't listen, continue to tell her until she eventually either 1. takes you off the meds, or 2. schedules a doctor's appointment to get new meds. If they aren't working, the likely solution is that a higher dosage is needed.
For many mothers, holding down a full-time job is an absolute necessity. Some have no spouse to share the economic burden.
True, not all mothers work full-time because of economic necessity. A significant number work outside the home to boost their sense of self-worth. Some may work to gain a measure of financial independence. Whatever the case, not receiving the attention you need from her is affecting your life. Step back and observe why your mother does not seem to be able to listen to you.
Is it the way you ask for help? Do you do so in a kind manner? Do you argue with her often? Do you listen to her instructions? Are you rebellious? Is it possible she had very little education herself.? Even if it is none of these reasons the bible tells us to "Honor our parents even if you feel she does not deserve honor. If you do not respect her the bible says it will not go well with you. Try these helpful advice.
Write her a letter explaining your feelings. Reach out to a trusted adult who may be able to help her see you are not getting the attention you need. Speak with your teacher about your grades and she should be able to help. Set aside time to do home work or extra study maybe one hour a day. I had no attention as a child in that area or was shown love by my parents. Even though I had a painful childhood which affect my adult life. I focused on making myself a better person and remove anger from my life because anger will only destroy me not my parents. My parents and I do not have the relationship I would like but I kept my responsibility of the bible's advice. There is a book on jw.org website free of charge "Questions young people ask, answers that work" Hope you find success.
