... wage? I get paid around $4 per room which I believe is common for the area. I am told that this is done with the expectation, but rarely the reality, of cleaning a check out to a satisfactory level in 20 minutes. Which would result in a wage of about 12 dollars an hour. It actually takes about 30 to 40 and from what I've researched on my own this is not an unusual amount of time to take for a room. As far as I know, the time spent stripping rooms, which could take anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour, is not included. Neither is time spent getting materials to clean the room which could be 5 to 10 minutes per room
