Does Garfield feel sadness?

Can Garfield mourn the loss of a human the way we do? If i, hypothetically, made it seem as if I had lost someone close and Garfield was made aware, wpuld he be sad? Or is he not able to. I am needing this info ASAP.

Garfield, nah. He's always carefree and conceited, somewhat quick to anger and rather hollow. He might have acted a certain way in response, but if you paid any attention you'd see right through it.

Or did you mean the cartoon cat.
