I am trying to find or make an adapter so I can use my 18 volt Black & Decker batteries on my 20 volt B&D tools
Batteries differ wildly, even if they have the same code words. Only use the charger specifically made for your equipment. Chargers cost a lot but it's cheaper than a fire.
You should only be using batteries and adapters that are made for the specific unit.
