American people must be left to settle their arguments about slavery by majority rule?

No argument can be settled WITHOUT FACTS. And, because the facts have been distorted for so long, it would be almost impossible to convince people they are wrong. America should have eliminated any and all celebration of Columbus, and still hasn't, even though the truth is now known. Imagine if suddenly our government revealed that slavery and slaves, were introduced to America by their own people. The truth NEEDS to be revealed by our government. They never have been good about doing that - that's why people argue about everything.
