We have a few drop clothes that are a bit moldy and are thinking of washing them, but we're not sure if they can be put in the washing machine and dryer.
Can you put a drop-clothe with dried paint on it into the washer and dryer?

Paint thinners do funny things to rubber seals, and detergents don't do much to clean paint rags. They are a fire hazard in a tumble dryer. If you mean big drop cloths, stake them in the driveway and wash with a broom. At least that way if you get a fire, it's out where you can get at it.
