Hey! We are having a creative evening and my female friend and I are thinking to perform smth. Can you recommend a short (<10min) play or a poem with two characters in it which we could play together for the audience. It can be smth dramatic or funny. But not as old as Romeo and Juliet please :)

Once in the forest I saw a man his cloak was brown his skin was tan I leaned in close to hear his tale a woman's cry a child's wail he told me how his heart was torn on one particular autumn morn his child had cried "don't let them take me" his wife had cried "let us come back to thee" men with swords had taken them far far away away from him the man had fought with all his strength but he could not alter his knife's length the men had won leaving him a massive scar on his right hand the man had paused from his tale and looked the distance in and alas what did he see his loved ones running to him!
