I found that 4 AA batteries had been put in my fresh water supply in my caravan, and all four have leaked. The batteries have now been removed and the water drained, but how do I make sure that my tank and pipes are safe to drink from? How do I protect myself from any harmful residue?
Batteries are "NSP 1.5V AA",
"Superpower" batteries,
"0% Mercure" (I assume that's foreign for Mercury),
and their expiration date was 31/12/2013.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
