... smelly, or chunky discharge can mean something bad, and im scared because i have all those. i had normal discharge for about 4 years before i noticed this. ive never gone to a gynaecologist and it seems really awkward but idk if my weird discharge means something bad?

You can buy over the counter (OTC) medication at any drug store or Walmart. Monistat is a well known brand that works. For vaginal itching for future info., Vagisil is also a well known brand that works. I would not use generic brands for these issues.
It is appropriate to seek medical care any time you have a change in the character (color, odor, consistency) or amount of vaginal discharge or if you have other symptoms such as pain, burning, or itching of the vaginal area.
Yeast infections may be treated using over-the-counter medications, but other causes of vaginal discharge require prescription medications.
So, go and see a gynecologist.
