Should I keep a relationship with any of my family members that stay close with my abuser? Or family members that keep relationships with others that are close with my abuser? I'm a victim of incest and the rapes started at a very young age. I have received counselling but I really want to know what others think of whether I should be keeping in contact with certain family members. thank you!

Well if the person is close to you I personally think it's wrong if they talk to him/her. Now if the person is close to you but a person they know knows the abuser (he/her) then that shouldn't really affect you. Your parents shouldn't be near the e person in my opinion because they hurt you. Forgiving is something completely different. I'm sorry and I hope your ok :)
Thanks. I have talked with my family members and they insist on remaining close with someone that is close with my abuser. I don't see how I can trust them with anything I say or do when they stay close to the other person. Is this wrong?
It's Ok to feel betrayed but forgive them for deciding to keep talking to the person. Try and understand why and move on don't hold resentment. Just because people hurt doesn't mean everyone will. Trust me I have got some fake people in my life it hurts mostly when you need people but there are others who will appreciate you.
