... Guard and I told my recruiter that i wanted to do Airforce instead because that is where my heart is. My recruiter ever since I told him, has been dodging/ignoring me. And i finally got in contact with him and he said I. Can pick up my packet and take it to the Airforce recruiting office to switch over. So I went to pick up my packet and he now says I can't Switch to the Airforce until after I do basic training and AIT! That just doesn't sound right to me, and the Airforce recruiter told me that that was a lie that I have to switch over before I do basic and AIT for National Guard. I don't. Know what to do. I leave for basic training in about a week. This is my life i want to be happy and if my recruiter is lying that isn't cool. You dont play around with spmeone like that. Please someone let me know what you know ASAP
All I'm trying to do is switch branches, it's not like I'm trying to leave the military in whole. I'm still serving my country!!

your recruiter is probably not telling you he gets a stepin for you joining his branch of the service because they in any branch have to follow the rules for recruiting and they have to have so many recruits sign up so they can get paid kinda like any branch of service all branches of the service should be treated equal i would thing how come the airforce recruiter can't transfer you to the area you want to be its surprising to me he didn't offer his help in getting you transfered kinda wierd at that wouldn't you say i would keep trying for the airforce to switch over so you can be happy
