... wanted Sunday mornings off for church. He did not have a problem with it. Over time i have filled in on Sundays when needed to cover other employees days off , for emergencies but i was never forced to work it permanently. My old boss quit and another employee was promoted to fill this position. This other employee had been working with me for four years. When the new manager fired one of the current employees she moved me to working Sunday mornings. I was fine with doing it to cover the schedule gap until a new employee was hired, but now the new manager refuses to hire a new employee to fill the schedule and wants me to cover it instead. i told her that i would be fine with alternating every other Sunday with the other two employees but i thought it was unfair to force me to work it alone, when she knows that i go to church on Sundays and she has two other employees. At the moment she still refuses to let me off. Note: Besides the new manager i am the most senior employee, and i have always offered to alternate Sundays with new employees so they do not have to work every Sunday. I understand that most jobs are at will employment but it seems wrong to not allow me to alternate with other employees so that i can practice my religious convictions at least every other Sunday
