... my iCloud. However, I only have 300 photos. But I do have a few iCloud streams that I share with my family. Is there a way I can cut down the amount of space my photos take up without having to lose any of them?

You can decrease the size of each photo. The app Simple Resize is free. Decreasing the size of your pic to 1/4 of it is now will decrease the quality of the image a bit but the quality is really high so it will not affect them much, but will save 2.475GB of space in the iCloud
Before you decrease them, save them on a pc and burn them to a CD or DVD at high quality. You can then forward the high quality image from the CD or DVD to someone who wants a more detailed pic,
Try setting your camera to 4 mega pixels so the images are already smaller. Your images could be around 11 mega pixels right now. Set it high again if you want super quality pics
