HELP!! I really want a hamster, but my parents think that I'm not responsible enough. And it will become their job, like my dogs, BUT I HAVE ALLERGIES!! I'm good kid! I get strait A's and never gotten a "B"!! How can I convince them to see that I'm responsible ! Do I need to do a pamphlet, project / research ? ( I LOVE school project!!) To prove to them !!! More chores , clean up more??? I know all about the expensives to. I also have dog sitted my neighbor LITTLE dog before a couple times during the Summers ago . I've kept a fish from the fair for 2 years! My Birthday is in 3 weeks!! How can I convince them?!!! Thanx!! :)

Try taking them to a pet store that sells hamsters and discuss your plan on how you intend to take care of them. I've had pet hamsters growing up and they're really not a hassle. Show them hamster habitats that you plan on getting (with your own money, hopefully), the advantages of hammies in general (small, cute, doesn't need a bath...), and how this would make you very happy. Make a compromise: something like, if they allow you a pet hamster, you'll wash their cat for a month. Or something like that.
*i meant wash their car. -_- not cat.
