I would like to make two ring magnets 6 inch`s dia with a bore of 4 inch. the machining of the material i can do, but need to know how to magnitize the material i use, can the poles be controlled on the circumference, and the inside bore?

the two magnets that I want to make, are 6" dia. with a bore id of 4"x 1.5" thick. and I would like to polarize them myself.
