Well, get a clue. If you have two x chromosomes you are a boy, and if you have one x and one y you are a girl. Personal preference, social pressure, and even surgery have nothing to do with it. "Coming out" is simply slapping people in the face. Of course they are offended.
Everyone has a different opinion. It doesn't mean that because your friend's father disowned him that it will be the same for you. You can't predict how they will react but you can prepare to the worst-case scenario. Tell them when you feel ready. If waiting stresses you too much, prepare a speech and tell only one of your parents first.
Since when everyone gets offended when their child comes out?
