I just got my permit to drive a while ago. I've been driving only on two small roads.. I tried driving on a two lane road and I had to change lanes but the side mirror looked very strange I can't really tell if a car is next to me or far behind me and it freaked me out. How do you get used to driving and using side mirrors?

These things are to be done before you leave the driveway.

You are supposed to be driving with a licensed driver until you get your actual li ense so why didnt that person show you how to use the side view mirrors. That's why they drive with you to help you make the right moves and drive correctly.
Go to youtube and search how to adjust side mirrors.
