It's so nice that someone is still concerned about praying to God. It's not a secret and the answer can be found in the Bible at Matthew 6:9,10 There it says, “You must pray, then, this way: “‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth. Verse 11 & 12
continues the example of how to pray to God.

The Bible also reassures that God not only wants to hear our prayers but he also invites us to do so.
Psalm 65:2 "O Hearer of prayer, to you people of all sorts will come".

Prayer promotes friendship with God, Reading the Bible promote communication with him because we now get God's thoughts and understanding on things. John 17:3

How you pray depends upon your relationship with God. Some people just pray to a God with a name and a form, in a temple or a church, asking God to solve their problems. Some people appeal to God to make them happy, to fulfil their dreams and goals. We all pray, but we pray for different reasons. Some people pray to express their gratitude to God, some people pray just because they love God. What is true prayer? True prayer is building a connection with the Divine. True prayer is understanding who you pray to and what you say when you pray. True prayer is experiencing the kingdom of God within, is building a connection with God who lives in the temple of our heart. True prayer is being in union, in yoga with the Divine, ever connected with God, experiencing God all the time, in everybody, in everything. This is true prayer.
