I got my two females on the 31st August, 2017. They will happily take treats from my hands in the cage but not out of the cage, and are fine with eating while I’m in the room. I’ve had them for nearly two months, and they won’t come out when I’m in the room or voluntarily climb on my hands. Both of them have slept on me once before but it took a long time before they wouned down and became still. When I take them out of the cage and put them in an enclosed area they never relax or eat, they are constantly running around trying to escape. I won’t lie, I’ve been seriously lacking in playtime outside the cage, mostly because of the reason above (which I know is a poor excuse and is why I should be taking them out for often). Would playing with them everyday help them warm up to me quicker? What else could help with trying to earn their trust?
