Is there a simple formula that can be used?
You can Google "BMI" or body mass index. It's a grid chart that has weight on one side, and height on the other. When you see where to 2 numbers line up in the middle, it will tell you your BMI. Normal is considered to be 18.5 to 24.9
your weight depends on your height and age
Ideal body weight (IBW) (men) = 50 kg + 2.3 kg x (height, in - 60)
Ideal body weight (IBW) (women) = 45.5 kg + 2.3 kg x (height, in - 60)
there is formula to calculate to you weight according to your age and height
BMI = kg/m2
Example: Weight = 65 kg, Height = 169 cm (1.69 m)
i.e, 65 / ( 1.69 * 1.69 )
