You can take an egg, sugar (at least 1/4th cup sugar) and any liquid (required for recipe) in a saucepan. Cook it low heat with constant stirring until the egg mixture coats thin layer on your metal spoon or the temp reaches to 160 degrees. After that, you need to be quick enough to place the saucepan in ice-cold water and continue stirring until the mixture gets cool. Then you may proceed with your usual recipe.
