Hello Everyone!
Previously, I worked on an e-commerce project and received many customer queries. There was a primary bot installed for answering a few queries, which improved customer satisfaction and reduced support tickets tremendously.
When bots are being put into use, it is very critical to look into a few aspects:
Bot Type: This determines whether it is going to be a rule-based bot or an artificial intelligence found depending on the nature of the business.
Integration: Whenever a chatbot is added, make sure that it blends well with the site design and the user path without causing disturbance.
Teach the bot to input common user queries, thus maintaining the context of the subject to get on-point answers.
Enhance Experience: Some features, like addressing the users by their names, go a long way in creating a bond with the clients.
Provide a Handoff Option: If possible, always provide an option for a live agent who can be in contact with the clients.
On the other hand, technical aspects of things are made easy by the use of chat-box building platforms like dial-m or chat-fuel; these make building chat-back systems easy.
As an instance, I connected a chatbot using Dialog Flow to a real estate manager’s property site and incorporated the function whereby the users can search and locate the properties via the chat box. This aspect brings the required dynamism to an otherwise dead website and improves its functionality.
Today, when designing websites, the feature of chatbots is no longer an option. It enhances the user experience and, while at it, ensures that there is active interaction, which in the long run increases sales.
