I constantly feel embarrassed when I meet new people or embarrass myself. are they put off by that?

I began college and I was lookin forward to a new start but I realised as I met new people I tend to accidentally say or do something so embarrassing. it makes me feel like are they put off by that impression? like for example I was laughing whilst I was sick and a loud sound of mucus came out! so embarrasing

If you want a new start, you have to learn new ways to behave. Take acting classes. Concentrate on vocal skills, such as public speaking and story telling. Go to the library and find the public speaking section. They have many books full of conversation starters; memorize them.

When I meet new people I usually just be my normal sarcastic self. Sometimes when I do something embarrassing, I laugh it out and pretend nothing happened. When you think about it too much, you become self conscious- you don't have to worry about it.
