Okay so here the thing. I'm 17 in two months i'm turning 18. I just don't want to live with my mom anymore because she won't let me join the marching band on my senior year... and she hits me and threatens me.. and still treats me like a child. My dad and my mom both equally have custody over me. I asked my mom and she said that he need to write a letter saying that he will take on full responsibility on me and his license. I just want to know if this is true. And that I can move with my dad without any problems.

my last girlfriend had equal custody parents as well and she was 17 and wouldnt live with her dad, and she told me that once she was 12 they let her choose where she wanted to live, and if you turn 18 in 2 months your mom isnt gonna be able to really put up that big of a fight
cause i'm scared of my mom of doing something crazy and call the cops.
