Insect bites around my ankles and feet only. Been out in the bush. On feet where shoes were aswell?

Yesterday I went horse riding out in the bush, I had shorts and shoes on. I went through a lot of long grass. I have a lot of red, Itchy dots around my ankles and on my feet. I was thinking mosquitoes but then you would think they wouldn&rsquo;t just be around my ankles and they wouldn&rsquo;t have gotten to my feet. Any suggestions?

They might be chigars. Get clear nail polish on them. That helps. And don't itch.

Nothing to be concerned about (unless you worry about your appearance for a while). I went on a 3 week camping/hiking trip and that happened often. I would blame it on mosquitoes (they can poke through socks).
