I was wondering what art directions people find interesting or unusual.
I'm not talking about paintings, but rather 'looks' in general (if that makes any sense), that makes you stop and look at it.
For example, I find Steampunk-, Art Deco- and noir- stylised visuals (in movies, games, artwork, etc) extremely captivating, because not just they look fascinating, but also have a history in them.
I'm currently working on a project and looking for a style I could lend, because making stuff in Noir Decopunk is getting monotonous.
