Is a pregnant woman obliged by law to inform the father about the child(ren)? Can she just hide it?

I suppose you can always claim that you didn't know who the father is, and wait for a man to get a court order for a paternity test.

There is no legal requirement for a pregnant woman to inform the father of the child or children of his paternity. Though you will be asked to name the father on a birth certificate, unless listed as unknown. To prove fatherhood, a court ordered paternity test would be required should you choose to not participate in testing.
