Is mind separate from the body? Or is the mind simply a product of your brain?

Or is your mind a product of your body, as many people believe.

Actually though, I'm a dualist. I believe mind and body are separate.

I'd like to go with "seperate from body" as it suggests a "spirit"....but, I am leaning towards the mind is a product of the electricial activity in the brain and is a evolutionary tool that helps keep our species alive.

Mind is part of the body - with concentration and mediation you can control your emotions and even your blood pressure

it's all connected and when our western dr's figure that out, there will be better diagnosis' and less 'mental illness's'. A hormone imbalance can make a woman pretty nutty and depressed, for instance!

I believe that the brain is the just an instrument to focus consciousness and not it's source. Great open ended question by the way.

did you know, btw, that our organs are simply held in place by 'life force' and fall down when dead? they have no shelves...just life force and our unhealthy eating causes so much prolapsed stomachs that it's considered normal!
