Is there an egg type that doesn't hatch?

I don't believe there is, but a friend and I have an ongoing debate about that. How can there be a living thing that doesn't reproduce. That would lead to extinction wouldn't it?     *I DO NOT BELIEVE THERE IS AN EGG LIKE THAT!!!*

Yes, there is. Some birds like chickens put eggs without a relationship with a rooster and this egg won't ever hatch. And also there is bad eggs that don't hatch.
